Ways You Can Help Support our Mission

The Floyd County Animal Rescue League (FCARL) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of companion animals throughout Floyd County. Because FCARL receives no city, state, or federal funding, its programs depend on the generosity of volunteers, donors, and community supporters.

Thanks so much to Newcomer Funeral Homes in New Albany for their donation to FCARL! It is truly appreciated! Here are some meaningful ways to make a difference:

  • Volunteer Your Time
Assist with adoption events, cat care, fundraising activities, microchipping clinics, community outreach, or administrative support. Volunteers are the heart of FCARL's mission.
  • Make a Financial Donation
Every donation stays in the local community and helps provide medical care, spay/neuter assistance, emergency veterinary vouchers, adoption support, and animal welfare programs. Donations are tax-deductible.
  • Purchase Items from the Wish List
Donate pet food, litter, cleaning supplies, treats, toys, gift cards, and other essential items that help care for animals awaiting their forever homes.
  • Adopt a Pet
Opening your home to a rescued cat or dog gives an animal a second chance while creating space for another pet in need.
  • Spay or Neuter Your Pets
Reducing pet overpopulation is one of FCARL's core missions. Taking advantage of local spay/neuter assistance programs helps prevent unwanted litters and reduces shelter overcrowding.
  • Microchip Your Pets
A microchip greatly increases the chances of a lost pet being reunited with its family. FCARL offers free and low-cost microchipping opportunities throughout the year.
  • Attend Fundraising Events
Participate in events such as Harvest Homecoming, pet photo events, adoption days, and other community fundraisers that provide essential funding for animal care programs.
  • Become an Advocate for Animal Welfare
Encourage responsible pet ownership by educating friends and neighbors about adoption, spaying and neutering, vaccinations, and humane treatment of animals.
  • Share FCARL's Mission
Follow FCARL on social media, share adoptable pets, promote fundraising events, and help spread awareness of programs available to local families.
  • Leave a Legacy
Consider making a memorial or honorary gift, organizing a workplace or community fundraiser, or including FCARL in your charitable giving plans to help ensure long-term support for companion animals.

Special Thanks to Jeff Wyler and other sponsors of the Floyd County Animal Rescue LeagueTogether, these efforts help FCARL fulfill its mission to:

  • Educate the community about responsible pet ownership.
  • Reduce the number of unwanted and homeless animals.
  • Support the New Albany Animal Shelter and other local animal welfare initiatives.
  • Improve the health and well-being of companion animals throughout Floyd County.
