Help teach local children the importance of being kind to animals by sponsoring a subscription of “Kind News”. FCARL has been providing subscriptions of Kind News to the classrooms of Floyd County for many years, all made possible by wonderful donors!
So what is Kind News?
It is a magazine that teaches kids to care for animals. Offered in two different versions, Kind News Jr. (K-2) and Kind News (3-6) the magazine features engaging articles, colorful illustrations, activities, and games to inspire young readers and encourage them to explore the relationship between people and animals as well as help them understand how important it is to be kind to animals, and to people too. The magazine is issued five times per year, is aligned with national teaching standards and can be easily integrated into the school curriculum. A yearly subscription costs $25.

We're a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of companion animals throughout Floyd County, Indiana. Working alongside the New Albany Animal Shelter, FCARL focuses on reducing pet overpopulation, increasing access to veterinary care, promoting responsible pet ownership, and supporting animal welfare through community programs.
